Emergency ambulance
For emergencies, an emergency ambulance with an emergency physician and two paramedics is available at the airport around the clock.
For emergencies, 32 defibrillators are available at Vienna Airport. Of these, 2 professional devices are located in the Medical Center and 30 lay defibrillators (AED devices) are distributed around the site.

The Health Center is located in Office Park 3 and offers a wide range of services and personal care by highly qualified private physicians and therapists from many disciplines.

Airworthiness: Who is allowed to fly?
Every healthy person between 0 and > 100 years and every sick or disabled person is allowed to fly,
- against whose transport there are no medical objections,
- who can care for himself or herself or with the help of an accompanying person, and
- who does not represent an impairment for the other passengers.
In case of doubt, a flight fitness certificate (MEDIF) must be issued in good time by an authorized physician. Obtain information from the travel agency and/or the airline!
Travel to Exotic Countries
You should plan your travels to exotic countries carefully - not only with regard to the itinerary, but also with regard to various medical precautions.
Therefore, please think about the need for vaccinations in good time. Please inform yourself about recommended and legally required vaccinations for your destination country about 6 to 8 weeks before the start of your trip.

Causes of increased stress during flying
The following causes can have a negative impact on physical well-being during a flight:

- Dryness
- Time difference
- Restricted movement
Pregnancy and flying
Flying up to the 28th week of pregnancy and then with specialist opinion up to the 36th week of pregnancy are possible.
In the case of multiple births up to the 28th week of pregnancy and then with a specialist's opinion up to the 32nd week of pregnancy are possible.
In the case of pregnancy-sustaining measures, flights are prohibited.
