Information about validity of the background check

As you have already been informed by the BMK (Bundesministerium für Klimaschutz, Umwelt, Energie, Mobilität, Innovation und Technologie), we would like to remind you once again that, the validity of background checks that were successfully completed before December 31, 2021 will expire on June 30, 2024 at the latest, according to the EU Regulation 2015/1998,.

No Airport ID Card can be issued without a valid background check, or your existing Airport ID Card will be blocked.

 
How can I check whether everyone in my company has a "new" extended background check (e-ZÜP)?
Check in the USP (Unternehmens Service Portal) whether all your employees have a valid extended background check.
 
How can I check whether everyone in my company has a new Airport ID Card?
The new Airport ID Card has the first name and surname on the backside of the card. If someone is still in possession of an old Airport ID Card, check the status of the e-ZÜP in USP. If the e-ZÜP is valid, you can apply for an Airport ID Card at  www.viennaairport.com/airport-id-card and collect the new Airport ID Card at the Airport ID Card Office, with the uploaded identity document (passport/ID card).
