Gold for Vienna Airport: The VIENNA Lounge was named the best lounge in Europe for the Priority Pass Excellence Awards 2025

Thanks to its Viennese elegance, Austrian art and cuisine as well as a panorama view of the airport apron, the VIENNA Lounge at Vienna Airport offers a place of refuge which is in a class of its own. This combination of style and service won over Priority Pass members for the second consecutive year, with the VIENNA Lounge named as the European winner in the “Lounge of the Year” category for the Priority Pass Excellence Awards 2025. This is the second win for the VIENNA Lounge. Priority Pass is the original and market-leading lounge and airport experiences programme owned and operated by Collinson International. The global Priority Pass network encompasses more than 1,700 airport lounges and travel experiences at 725 airports in 145 countries.

“This award demonstrates that our standards of service, quality and atmosphere are also recognised internationally, and we are very pleased about that. We are thus continuing to consistently pursue our goal of becoming a 5-star airport. Our VIENNA Lounge symbolizes the modern Vienna Airport - global, comfortable and with a strong regional touch. My special thanks go to our dedicated employees and our partners DoN Group and Leopold Museum - they make this special experience possible for our guests”, states Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.

“The Priority Pass Excellence Awards celebrate the extraordinary efforts of our lounge and experience partners who continuously go above and beyond to make travellers’ journeys special. As demand for premium travel experiences continues to rise, more and more travellers are turning to airport experiences to elevate their journeys. This is testament to the many exceptional partners who are raising the bar across the airport ecosystem. Through these awards, we want to shine a light on our partners who continue to find ways to elevate customer experience. Congratulations to this year’s winners,” says Christopher Evans, CEO of Collinson International.

Priority Pass Excellence Awards 2025: VIENNA Lounge is number one in Europe
The VIENNA Lounge Vienna Airport was selected as the “Lounge of the Year, for Europe”. This is the second time the VIENNA Lounge has won a Lounge of the Year award. The accolade goes to the highest-rated lounge in region, based on more than 781,000 member ratings and reviews and is carried out in line with a variety of criteria, including the quality of the facilities, customer service, food and beverage selection and overall satisfaction.

VIENNA Lounge: Exclusive atmosphere, Viennese elegance, Austrian art, and cuisine
Spanning an area of approx. 2,500 m², the VIENNA Lounge leaves nothing to be desired. Elegant interior decoration with design elements from the “Vienna School,” comfortable and high-quality furnishings and a panorama view of the airport apron combine to create a bright and pleasant ambience. Possibilities to take showers, relaxation rooms and even a separate large conference room looking out upon the airport apron provide extensive services to travellers. The passenger lounges at Vienna Airport focus on first-class service and genuine Austrian hospitality - made tangible by a dedicated team that works every day to make the stay as pleasant as possible for all guests. The culinary concept is provided by the DoN group, Austria's largest privately owned catering company. What is particularly impressive is the fact that the entire lounge is decorated with high quality art prints of well-known works of art by eminent local artists such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and many others as a result of the airport’s collaboration with the Leopold Museum in Vienna. Travellers who spend time in the VIENNA Lounge will feel as if they are experiencing Vienna at its most beautiful side.

DoN group – Austria’s largest privately owned catering company
Since March 2021, DoN has been serving the exclusive passenger lounges at Vienna Airport, one of which is the VIENNA Lounge, and offers culinary delights and genuine hospitality at the highest level. Featuring a customised offering and a strong connection to Austria, DoN's concepts meet the highest quality standards. The DoN group was founded in 1992 by Josef Donhauser, who has successfully established and developed the business since then to Austria’s largest privately owned catering company. The company develops customized F&B and hospitality concepts for airline and railway companies and serves as a premium caterer for events, congresses as well as sports and cultural organizations. Additionally, the group operates numerous restaurants both domestically and internationally.

Leopold Museum curates selected art prints for the VIENNA Lounge
Thanks to its collaboration with the Leopold Museum, the artistic design concept of the VIENNA Lounge allows visitors from all over the world to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Vienna in 1900. High-quality reproductions show selected paintings and prints by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Koloman Moser as well as historical posters by exponents of the Vienna Secession from the Leopold Museum's collection. Among the works on display in the VIENNA Lounge are Egon Schiele's famous self-portraits and his unique depictions of women, most notably the portrait Wally Neuzil, as well as Gustav Klimt's major work Death and Life.
