Effective immediately, Air India is the new carrier offering flight connections between Vienna and Delhi in cooperation with Austrian Airlines. “We are extremely pleased to be able to expand our long-haul offering from Vienna with Air India. "Air India is excited about its new non-stop flight between Vienna and Delhi on a Dreamliner aircraft. It offers a lovely option to travel to India and onward to destinations such as Bangkok, Kathmandu, Colombo, Sydney, Melbourne and more. We wish that air travelers from Central and Eastern Europe, when flying to the above-mentioned places, will choose Air India for their travel with Vienna serving as their gateway. We look forward to welcoming them with a 'Namaskaar', traditional Indian greeting," says Pankaj Srivastava, Commercial Director and Member of the Board of Air India.
"This direct flight connection is of major importance for tourism in Vienna. It ensures the ongoing positive development of India as a growth market for tourists coming to Vienna. The number of overnight stays from Indian nationals increased by 61% over the last five years, from 56,000 to 91,000", explains Norbert Kettner, Director of the Vienna Tourist Board.
