New at Vienna Airport: Air India from Vienna to Delhi as of the Beginning of April
Starting on April 6, 2016, Air India will operate flights from Vienna Airport to Delhi. The Indian airline will connect Vienna to India’s biggest market three times a week.
 “We are pleased to welcome Air India, a new long-haul carrier, to Vienna Airport. In addition to its significance as a capital city region and important Indian business center, Delhi is also very attractive as a tourist destination. At the same time, Vienna is an important market for tourism from India”, says Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.
“Air India is extremely excited to add one more destination in Europe. Vienna would be 8th city in Europe which will be connected directly with non-stop services from Delhi. With our Star Alliance partner Austrian Airlines we are very positive that the flight would do very well”, so Pankaj Srivastava, Commercial Director, Air India”

Air India will deploy a Boeing Dreamliner 787-800 on flights taking off at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Delhi and landing at 6:45 p.m. in Vienna. The return flight will depart from Vienna at 10:45 p.m. and arrive in Delhi at 9:25 a.m. next day.
