Vienna Airport: SAS Resumes Flight Service from Vienna to Copenhagen (Denmark)
 
Following a seven-year interlude, the Danish airline Scandinavian Airlines SAS will resume flight service between Vienna and Copenhagen. Starting with March 24th 2016, SAS will operate four flights per week from Vienna to Copenhagen.
 
“I’m pleased to announce SAS’ new route between Vienna and Copenhagen. There is a strong demand for this route, both in Scandinavia and in Austria. Our customers can in an easy and comfortable manner travel via Copenhagen to and from various destinations in Scandinavia”, says Richard Gustafson, President and CEO of SAS.

Copenhagen represents another new flight connection from Vienna in the summer flight schedule 2016“, says Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG, commenting on the new flight connection. SAS offered flight service to Vienna up until January 2009.
 
An Airbus 320 aircraft will take off every Monday and Thursday at 12:20 p.m. from Copenhagen and land in Vienna at 2 p.m. The return flight is scheduled to leave Vienna at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in the Danish capital city at 4:25 p.m. On Fridays the airline departs from Copenhagen at 8 p.m. and arrives in Vienna at 9:40 p.m. The flight from Vienna to Copenhagen departs at 10:20 p.m. and arrives at 0:05 a.m. On Sunday the aircraft takes off from Copenhagen at 6:05 p.m. and lands in Vienna at 7:45 p.m. before starting the return flight at 8:25 p.m., landing at 10:10 p.m. in Copenhagen. Flight frequencies will be reduced to two weekly flights between the end of June and the middle of August 2016.
