“We are happy to welcome Jet2.com with this new direct destination from Vienna Airport. Steve Heapy, Chief Executive of Jet2.com, said: “Vienna is a newly important part of our network and we’re delighted to be celebrating our inaugural departure to Manchester today. It’s been impossible to reach Manchester directly from Vienna for several years – so we’re pleased to be introducing hassle-free low fares for Austrian-based business and leisure customers who appreciate the choice and frequency of our new schedule.”

Holger Lenz, VisitBritain’s Manager for Central Europe said: “VisitBritain is delighted that the North of England will finally get easier access from Vienna through a direct flight to Manchester. From today, Austrians will now be able to easily explore the vibrant city of Manchester and the stunning countryside around it.”
