New long-haul routes from Vienna International Airport:
Non-stop to Mombasa (Kenya) with Condor

Starting on 5 November 2013, the well-known holiday airline Condor introduced a new seasonal long-haul flight from Vienna. Once a week the airline now flies to Mombasa in Kenya. In a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony at Vienna Airport recently, H.E. Michael A.O. Oyugi, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Austria, Tobias Schnitker, Head of International Sales Condor, and Nikolaus Gretzmacher, Flughafen Wien AG's Head of Operations, welcomed the new route.

From Vienna to the Republic of Kenya every Tuesday

Condor takes off from Vienna at 9 p.m. every Tuesday, and reaches Mombasa at 7 a.m. the next morning. Flying time is about eight hours with a Boeing 767-300. Condor has expanded its range seasonal long-haul flights from Vienna with this new destination, opening up a convenient connection to one of the world's most interesting holiday destinations. Kenya is a fascinating country combining a wide variety of landscapes, with savannah, rain forests, snow-capped mountains on the equator, tropical beaches and extinct volcanoes. A number of wildlife reserves and national parks are within easy reach of Mombasa.

Third long-haul destination from Vienna after Punta Cana and Varadero

Condor Flugdienst GmbH was founded in 1956 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas Cook, one of the world's leading tour operators. Mombasa (Kenya) is Condor's third seasonal long-distance route from Vienna after Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) and Varadero (Cuba). Condor flies over six million passengers a year worldwide to 75 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. The holiday airline's fleet consists of 39 modern, environmentally friendly aircraft: twelve Airbus A320s, two Airbus A321s, thirteen Boeing 757-300s and twelve Boeing 767-300s.
