Vienna Airport: Plus 0.3% in passengers during March 2013
The number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport rose by 0.3% year-on-year to 1,705,447 in March 2013.
Declines were recorded in the number of flight movements with minus 6.6%, maximum take-off weight with minus 5.2% and cargo with minus 4.2%. The number of local passengers rose by 2.9% during this same period. The number of transfer passengers using Vienna Airport in March 2013 was 4.5% lower than in March 2012.
Passenger traffic to Eastern Europe increased 0.5% in comparison with March of the previous year. The number of passengers travelling to Western Europe was 0.6% lower, while the Middle East recorded an increase of 5.1% in March 2013.
