Vienna Airport: 10.3% increase in passengers during February 2012

The number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport rose by 10.3% year-on-year to 1,387,505 in February 2012. After an adjustment for 29 February 2012, the increase equalled 5.9% compared to February 2011.

Declines were recorded in flight movements with minus 0.5%, maximum take-off weight (MTOW) with minus 1.1% and cargo with minus 4.7%. In contrast, 22.0% more transfer passengers were handled in February 2012 than in February of the previous year.

Passenger traffic to Eastern Europe and Western Europe rose by 23.6% and 5,7%, respectively, over February 2011. The number of passengers travelling to the Middle East was 4.3% higher in February 2012.
