Vienna Airport: Inaugural flight by Rossiya Airlines with Antonov 148
Yesterday, 7 February 2012, marked the first landing by a Rossiya Airlines Antonov 148 at Vienna Airport. Plans call for the airline to increase the use of this aircraft type on the St. Petersburg ? Vienna route in the future.
Rossiya uses the Antonov 148 very effectively on flights within Russia and on international routes. High passenger comfort, modern equipment and optimal seating capacity make the An-148 an excellent choice for short- and medium-haul flights. This offering is now available to our passengers on the St. Petersburg ? Vienna route, indicated Dmitry Zvonarev, CCO of Rossiya Airlines.
We look forward to continuing our good cooperation with Rossiya Airlines. The fact that we are welcoming the Antonov 148, a new type of aircraft, to Vienna underscores the importance of our airport as a hub to Eastern Europe, added Julian Jäger, member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.
