Flughafen Wien AG: change in gate designations as of 1 April 2010
Starting tomorrow, 1 April 2010, minor changes will be made to the names of the gates at Vienna International Airport. The gates in Pier East will now be designated as “D“ (previously “A“), and the numbering of the C gates in Pier West will be adjusted. The B gates will remain unchanged.
These changes will have no effect on passengers, since the new gate designations will also be used for all passenger-related processes from check-in to departure, such as boarding cards, information displays and data in the Internet.
These adjustments are necessary because the designation of the parking positions on the aprons were expanded. The gate designations have now been adjusted and assigned to match the apron positions.
