Austrian launches new destinations with the beginning of summer timetable:

Three new holiday destinations during the summer: Starting from May Austrian will offer three weekly services to Palma De Mallorca and one weekly service to Greek island Chios. The weekly flight to Palermo will be introduced at the end of April.

Austrian is also expanding its flights to the East: With seven extra flights a week to St. Petersburg (Russia) and four extra flights a week to Chisinau (Moldova), the company will strengthen its role as the most important East-West carrier in Austria. In Eastern Europe, Austrian Airlines will increase its flights this coming summer with one flight a week from Vienna to each of its destinations in Amman (Jordan), Yerevan (Armenia), Sibiu (Romania) and Skopje (Macedonia). In addition to this, the Austrian carrier will increase its product to Košice (Slovakia) by two flights a day.
From 5th May the service to Brussels will be increased by one more daily return connection between the Belgian and Austrian capitals. Austrian will now be providing return flights to and from Brussels up to four times a day.

Air BerlinAir Berlin is taking over the connection from Vienna to Heringsdorf-Usedom from OLT express, who operated this route last year. NIKI is expanding its range of flights to Moscow and Stockholm: Starting from 31 March Sweden’s capital can be reached daily exept saturdays, Moscow is served daily starting from 23 April.

Minoan Airlines
New at Vienna Airport: Minoan Airlines will be introducing three flights per week to Lugano in Switzerland starting on 29 March 2013. The Greek carrier plans to use a Fokker 50 on this route.
