What does the increase in capacity bring you? - More quickly and comfortably to your destination.
The Skylink at Vienna Airport consists of two parts. The new south pier with up to 17 aircraft positions near the building (the so-called fingers), on the one hand, and the new terminal with additional check-in desks, a modern baggage sorting system as well as many shopping opportunities and an inviting gastronomy on the other hand.
The terminal expansion allows the airport to react flexibly to the actual development of traffic and different traffic peaks as well as handle significantly more passengers: the previous terminal areas are doubled by Skylink. This way, even more travellers can check-in and board even more quickly and comfortably, which provides more time and more comfort for everyone.
Modern security controls in accordance with the state of the art ensure greatest possible security with least possible cost of time. As a result, the passengers are left with more time to stroll through the many shops, enjoy the range of restaurants and cafés, or to settle down comfortably in the retreating areas of the terminal.

Placed in a line, the built-in pipelines for heating and cooling add up to 6x the total stretch from Vienna city centre to Vienna Airport.
Together with the roof frame, the roof of Skylink weighs as much as 7 fully loaded jumbo jets.
The glass surface of the Skylink façade equals roughly that of 600,000 sunglasses.
