VISITAIR Centre - the visitor centre

How the airport works

Have you always wondered how an international airport operates? Vienna Airport offers you a glimpse behind the scenes with its VISITOR's Terrace, the VISITAIR Centre and a tour of the apron, the VISITAIR tour.

VISITAIR Centre

The VISITAIR Centre provides information about the different operations and also offers a history of Vienna Airport. One of the highlights is the “transparent airport” and its importance for the region. The exhibition is divided into numerous sections and gives an interesting insight into the complex procedures involved:

  • “Airport under the microscope” - facts, figures and unusual jobs
  • “Neighbours” - the dialogue forum, its functions and tasks
  • “Interactive media table” - take a journey into the past and the future
  • “Sound station” - find out about the technical background and listen to examples of aircraft, traffic and everyday noise
Souvenir, Souvenir there is also a small shop where you can purchase souvenirs of your visit to the airport.

VISITAIR Tour (only in german language available)
